Borunum lokið í Nanoq – jákvæðar niðurstöður úr málmvinnsluprófunum

Reykjavík, Oct. 01, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

Borunum lokið í Nanoq – jákvæðar niðurstöður úr málmvinnsluprófunum

Amaroq Ltd. (LSE og NASDAQ Iceland: AMRQ, OTCQX: AMRQF) tilkynnir að auðlindaborunum félagsins í Nanoq-leyfinu á Suður-Grænlandi árið 2026 er lokið. Jafnframt liggja fyrir jákvæðar niðurstöður úr málmvinnsluprófunum á Nanoq-málmgrýti með tilliti til framtíðarvinnslu í vinnslustöðinni í Nalunaq. Félagið hefur einnig hafið uppbyggingu innviða á Nanoq-svæðinu.

Helstu niðurstöður

  • Borunum árið 2026 lokið: Alls voru boraðir 4.728,9 metrar í 33 borholum. Áhersla var lögð á boranir á Miðsvæðinu (Central Zone), sem mun styðja við fyrsta auðlindamat (Maiden Resource Estimate) svæðisins, auk borana til suðurs og á West 1 svæðunum.
  • Sterkar sýnilegar vísbendingar: Sýnilegt gull og koparsúlfíð, sambærilegt við það sem greindist árin 2024 og 2025, fundust í um 88% borholanna. Niðurstöður efnagreininga liggja ekki fyrir.
  • Jákvæðar niðurstöður úr málmvinnsluprófunum: Prófanir sem SGS Lakefield framkvæmdi benda til þess að málmgrýti af Nanoq-svæðinu henta vel til vinnslu í Nalunaq. Heildarendurheimt (recovery) gulls nam um 97-99%.
  • Uppbygging innviða hafin: Framkvæmdir eru hafnar við hafnaraðstöðu og lagningu aðkomuslóða að vinnslusvæðinu í Nanoq. Uppbyggingin mun bæta aðgengi að svæðinu og styðja við frekari sýnatöku og auðlindaboranir.

Eldur Ólafsson, forstjóri Amaroq:
,,Borverkefni ársins í Nanoq markar mikilvægt skref í átt að fyrsta auðlindamati svæðisins. Við höfum aukið verulega við jarðfræðilegar upplýsingar um Miðsvæðið (Central Zone), samhliða því að kanna áfram möguleika kerfisins til suðurs og við West 1.

Niðurstöður málmvinnsluprófana eru einnig mjög jákvæðar og sýna fram á háar endurheimtur gulls með vinnsluferli sem nú þegar er notað í Nalunaq. Niðurstöðurnar styðja því Nanoq sem mögulega framtíðarauðlind sem unnin yrði í Nalunaq. Samhliða uppbyggingu innviða í Nanoq skapa niðurstöðurnar grundvöll fyrir flutning efnis frá Nanoq til vinnslu í Nalunaq undir lok árs 2027 eða á árinu 2028, auk frekari auðlindaborana. Þannig munum við halda áfram að sýna fram á virði Nanoq-leyfisins okkar. ”

Niðurstöður efnagreininga úr borunum ársins 2026 verða birtar eftir því sem þær berast. Þau gögn munu styðja við áframhaldandi þróun jarðfræðilíkana og mögulega fyrsta auðlindamati fyrir Nanoq.

About the Nanoq gold project
Nanoq is located in South Greenland, approximately 130km northeast of the Nalunaq gold mine, on the eastern flank of the Nanortalik Gold Belt. The project hosts multiple gold-bearing quartz vein systems within folded volcanic and sedimentary rocks and is being evaluated as a potential future high-grade gold source within Amaroq's South Greenland portfolio.

In 2025, Amaroq completed 4,807m of diamond drilling across 27 holes, testing approximately 600m of strike within the Central Zone. The programme returned shallow high-grade intersections, including 187.4g/t Au over 1.5m and 19.6g/t Au over 4.9m, as well as broader mineralised intervals up to 9.0m. Mapping extended the interpreted Central Zone strike to approximately 1.5km and identified the parallel West 1 Zone approximately 500m to the west.
